MOXI®: A MODERN APPROACH TO PIGMENTATION AND EARLY SKIN AGEING

Moxi® pigmentation reduction after just one session.

Patients often ask me for a treatment that improves pigmentation, refreshes the skin and targets early signs of ageing — without significant downtime or aggressive intervention. This is where Moxi® fits beautifully into a modern, skin-first and preventative approach.

PREVENTATIVE

At Moreton Aesthetics, Moxi® is now here to support skin health, correct early damage and maintain a youthful, even complexion.

What Is Moxi®?

Moxi® is a non-ablative fractional laser designed to improve skin tone, texture and clarity. Unlike more aggressive lasers, it works gently by creating controlled microthermal zones within the skin, stimulating renewal while preserving the skin barrier.

This makes Moxi® particularly suitable for patients who want visible improvement with minimal disruption to daily life. It's great if you don't fancy the downtime of a chemical peel.

Moxi® for Pigmentation

Moxi® is highly effective for treating pigmentation concerns, particularly when pigmentation is superficial or related to sun damage.

It works by:

  • Breaking up uneven pigment

  • Encouraging fresh, healthy skin cells to rise to the surface

  • Improving overall skin clarity and brightness

Moxi® is often used for sunspots, freckles and uneven skin tone. In patients with melasma or hormonally driven pigmentation, it can be used cautiously as part of a broader management plan, alongside appropriate skincare and sun protection.

Moxi® for Early Signs of Ageing

Early ageing often shows up as dullness, fine lines, uneven texture and loss of radiance rather than deep wrinkles.

Moxi® targets these concerns by:

  • Stimulating collagen production

  • Refining skin texture

  • Improving luminosity

  • Strengthening the skin over time

This makes it an excellent choice for patients in their 30s and 40s who want to be proactive about skin ageing.

Who Is Moxi® Suitable For?

Moxi® is suitable for all skin types, including patients with darker skin tones and those who may have a natural tan. This makes it a versatile option year-round when used appropriately.

It is particularly well suited to patients who:

  • Want to treat pigmentation safely

  • Are noticing early signs of ageing

  • Want preventative skin maintenance

  • Prefer minimal downtime

  • Are not ready for more aggressive laser treatments

Because Moxi® is gentle and non-ablative, it can be used safely across a wide range of skin types when performed by an experienced practitioner.

Other Indications for Moxi®

Moxi® is a versatile treatment and can be used to address multiple skin concerns, including:

  • Sun damage and photodamage

  • Uneven skin tone and texture

  • Enlarged pores

  • Fine lines

  • Mild acne scarring

  • Dull or tired-looking skin

  • Skin maintenance and collagen banking

It can be used on the face and other areas such as the neck, chest and hands, making it ideal for comprehensive skin rejuvenation.

Treatment Course and Maintenance

For best results, Moxi® is typically performed as a course of 3 treatments. This allows the skin to regenerate gradually while building cumulative improvement in tone, texture and pigmentation.

Many patients notice an improvement after a single session, but a course delivers more consistent and longer-lasting results.

For maintenance, I often recommend 1 treatment every 6–12 months, depending on skin concerns, sun exposure and lifestyle.

Downtime and What to Expect

Following Moxi®, the skin may appear slightly red or feel warm, similar to mild sunburn. Over the following days, a subtle sandpaper-like texture may develop as old skin sheds and new skin emerges.

Downtime is minimal, and most patients return to normal activities quickly, making it suitable for busy lifestyles.

Combining Moxi® With Other Treatments

Moxi® works particularly well when combined with medical-grade skincare and other skin quality treatments.

Depending on your skin goals, it may be paired with:

This layered approach enhances results while keeping treatments subtle and natural.

My Approach at Moreton Aesthetics

I use Moxi® as part of a personalised, preventative strategy rather than a one-off fix. Skin health, consistency and long-term results are always the priority. Every treatment plan is tailored, ensuring pigmentation is treated safely and early ageing is addressed without compromising skin integrity.
