What Happens During a PCA Skin Chemical Peel?

Your chemical peel session begins with a detailed skin assessment, followed by a cleanse and tone. A customised PCA Skin solution is then applied to the targeted area in controlled layers. You may feel a slight tingling or warm sensation, but the treatment is generally well-tolerated. 

After application, a calming post-peel product and SPF are applied to protect your skin.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

While you may see improvement after just one peel, we typically recommend a course of 3–6 sessions, spaced approximately four weeks apart, for optimal and lasting results.

How Soon Will I See Results?

Most clients notice a visible glow and smoother skin within 5–7 days following their first peel. Deeper improvements – such as reduced pigmentation or fine lines – develop gradually with each treatment..

What is the Downtime?

Downtime is minimal with PCA Skin peels. You may experience:

• Mild redness on the day of treatment

• Light flaking or peeling for 3–5 days

• Sensitivity to sun – SPF is essential post-treatment

You can usually return to your normal activities straight after, although it’s best to avoid direct sun exposure, heavy sweating, or exfoliating products for several days.

Chemical peels are very safe when administered by trained professionals. Temporary side effects may include:

• Peeling or dryness

• Slight sensitivity
